Aero Vodochody

Aero is a Czech (formerly Czechoslovakian) aircraft manufacturer based in Vodochody, a small municipality just north of Prague.  Aero was founded in 1919 and has manufactured various military aircraft for the Czechoslovakian and Czech governments, including license-built versions of several generations of Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG fighters.  In the modern West, it is best known for two jet trainers that it has designed and manufactured, the L-29 Delphin and L-39 Albatros, which have been resold to private collectors after retirement from the military and become popular sport warbirds.
