Pilatus Aircraft

Pilatus Aircraft, based in Stans, Switzerland, is an aircraft company that has produced successful trainer aircraft for the Swiss Air Force and other air forces since the end of World War II.  In recent years the company has developed a successful series of light commercial and executive transports, mostly built around its favorite engine, the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT-6 turboprop.  The company is named for Mount Pilatus, a prominent mountain in central Switzerland.
